Maybe you can trade the 24 as a project for that fine Cessna... the 170 owner will find all that work a refreshing break from the polishing.Polishing it should keep me off the streets for a while

I'm guessing you just need a boat big enough to hold the jeep.
I don't believe he will do the deal.Maybe you can trade the 24 as a project for that fine Cessna... the 170 owner will find all that work a refreshing break from the polishing.

Speaking of Arlington there's a CH 801 for sale there right now. My current experimental of choice.
Do those fold the wings?
Only middle-age if you normally hang with a bunch of 144 year-olds.
No they made a conscious choice not to include that feature. Wrong class of aircraft anyhow - 4-seater. Ben H (N801BH) in this thread has one.
We been thinking that too, so we have been watching this:

You can't be serious.
Were you regarding yanking a fold-wing around RV parks?
Take the ferries up island hopping and fly to out islands during the day. He already has the Motorhome for it.

Have you priced a ferry ticket lately? they charge by the foot, 40' M/H + 30' trailer = nearly $450.00
Plus you must hit the tide right or you can't get the M/H aboard the ferry, or worse you can't get it off. the ramps are simply too steep and the rear drags or you high center going onto the ramp. and off again onto the boat.
M/H and ferries do not mix.
Right, but the plane allows you to park out in the boonies and get OT (over town) for supplies and stuff very efficiently while only using the ferry once. In that part of the world floats are a very reasonable form of transport and to be able to be above the waves doing 65 is a nice thing.
Ok, but I was thinking further North in Alaska.
the average is 1001# / 2550 max grossThe XP sure looks nice in the pictures. What's the useful load like in one of those?
John
Would be interesting to see a write-up and some photos on the 172XP inspection and things you looked at, if it goes well.
Can Do, but it will not happen until after 5 nov. the owner is away until then.
(I'm guessing if it doesn't go well, the current owner won't like the bad press... )
