I can't see any reason why an android device would be any more heat resistant that an iOS device.

Personally, I haven't had a problem with a heat shutdown on either my iPad or my Android tablet. A friend of mine did, but, like most things in aviation, it was "pilot error," in this case, leaving his iPad on the wing during preflight on a typical Colorado summer day.

As with all vapor ware, especially when it comes to integrating with Garmin, I'll wait to see it happen; however in this situation, it likely will since the iPad market is not their big one, and they are overshadowed by Foreflight already. It makes sense to give up what Garmin Pilot share they could pick up in order to sink Avidyne once and for all.

We had to put our 796 in the panel of our baron to get it to quit shutting off from heat. My partner also has a bonanza. His 796 did the same thing and he returned it for a 696.

No more touchscreens for me. I despise them.

Played around the with new update. Small changes but they are cool!
 
I'll update it today and test to see if I can find any issues.
 
I loaded the new release on my iPad but did not see one for my iPhone. Did I miss something?

I wonder what WingX would look like on a new iPad Pro :eek: I know it would be too big for the plane but I bet it would be neat for flight planning.

Moving map crashes-mini4 chose AHRS by accident (I do not have that equipment)
Open winx hit moving map
AHRS screen flashes on then bounced out of wingx.
Tried screen , swap,(quickly since it fails fast)
On 9.2, yesterday's wingx update. Rebooted mini .. No change.
Was working before I fat fingered ADRS option.

Restart in safe mode - see my reply on red board
 
Try starting in safe mode first... Apples settings menu - scroll down and select WingX and then restart WingX... Problem solved thank you
 
Minor release out today 8.6.4 - now has stadium TFR's
