Where would I find a winds aloft forecast for the eastern pacific, basically the area bounded by Aleutian Islands to CONUS West coast to Hawaii?

Which still leaves me about 2-1/2 million square miles of blank space.

I don't know if NOAA provides winds aloft forecasts for that region. You may need to get it from one of the commercial weather companies.

Launch your very own Weather Balloon :D

Thanks for reminding me. I totally forgot that one of my customers builds the radiosondes that get used in weather balloons. He'll probably know who to get that info from.

Ed,

If you go to this page http://aviationweather.gov/products/nws/winds/
there are mouseOver pics below the CONUS map with Gulf of Alaska and Pacific Ocean wind products as well as Hawaii.

According to the NWS, that is the only winds aloft information they are authorized to collect.

Appears that the only reporting points in your self-described area are Hawaii and the Gulf of Alaska though.
