Final Approach
I'm just getting back into the cockpit after some time away. One of the downsides of a shared airplane is the the next guy needs to muck with the seat adjustments.
Well, I am beginning to think that perhaps the 172S cockpit doesn't fit my broad shouldered 6 foot frame very well. I have been compromising my seating position...or perhaps I just haven't found it yet.
My seating position for normal flying is well forward to give me high command of brakes and rudder pedals. For long XCs I usually slide back for endurance comfort.
A big problem I discovered flying with Cap'n Ron is that my body to seat/floor contact points aren't stable and also lends to poor yaw feel.
I am open to learning a new sight picture if that's what I need to do. Any other suggestions?
