Who ya rooting for?

I'm going Falcon's this year.
 
You need another option for "My team lost so I don't care" and one for " I'll be flying so don't care"

Oh, and I voted for the Falcons because they deserve a title more than the cheaters.
 
Neither is my team, but a lot of friends in this area are Falcon fans, so Ill root for them.
 
Need an option for: Why waste time watching millionaires play a game then listen to the winners whine about only making a 107K win bonus while I struggle to pay bills??

The players aren't all wealthy. Most of the non-star players have such short careers that they don't get into the upper salary ranges.
 
I'm an underdog guy so I'll be rooting for the Falcons, but I don't have a problem with the Patriots like lots of folks seem to. I just hope it's a good game.

We're having a Super Bowl party at the chapter hangar on Sunday. Gonna watch on our 70" screen.

In the late 70s a friend of mine, his much older brother made it to the NFL. His starting salary was the lowest allowed by the NFL at the time. He started at $40,000/year. He was there three years at that pay then got cut. No other team picked him up. He really understood that NFL means Not For Long.
 
GB Packers are out, so I really don't care who wins. However, I think I'll pull for the Pats just because everyone hates them and Tom Brady so much. But, I wouldn't mind the Falcons winning either. Should be a great game. I hope. Usually they're not.

I disagree. Peyton Manning is the greatest QB in world history. Now you have a debate, ergo, your statement is debatable, which proves it a false statement, which further casts doubt on your other claims. Cheers. And Go, Falcons! I support anything that can fly!!!

If I told you fire is hot, and you said "fire is not not" it doesn't mean my statement debatable. It just means yours is wrong. :D

A few years ago I could actually agree there was a debate of Brady vs Manning. But for Brady to be doing this at 39 is insane and to me and most reasonable people effectively ends the debate. I could show you the stats to back up my argument but that becomes boring real quick.

That being said you supporting things that fly is a statement I can totally understand.

By the way I totally understand why the rest of the NFL hates us. We are arrogant and obnoxious. Unfortunately for the rest of the league we have every right to be.

That might be true, but it's kind of sad if you think about it. Everybody loved other sports dynasties. What do you suppose it is that causes sports fans to hate a winning sports team? It couldn't possibly be the WAY they win, could it?

Really? A lot of people HATED the Cowboys in the 90s (including myself!)

Plenty of people hated the Yankees in the late 90s/2000s (including myself!)

Other teams fans hate dynasties. No one roots for the favorites if they have no other bias.

Oh and I LOVE when people bring up the "way they win" and deflategate, et al. It makes me smile that my team is in everyone else's head so much that they need to blame our inexplicable dominance on cheating. It couldn't possibly be that we are just that much better than everyone else the last 12 years or so!

I want to know when the Chinese bought the Super Bowl. And who is this Li guy we keep hearing about? And how much did he have to pay to get naming rights? Super Bowl Li? Yeesh.
 
Dallas is out and I have been a Dallas fan since..well 1978..That just happened to be the year I was born too. :) And Im from Dallas, I always love those die hard lets say jets fans and they are from seattle..Really?? haha Like here in the sip...they all love Bama and they aint never been to the school or even sent a kid there but all be danged die hard bama fans. ugh..No bitterness here I promise..hahahaha

But since I dislike..er...hate Brady (he is a really good QB I understand that) and Belichick Im going for the Falcons. But Ill be honest I don't care either way and will not be watching the game.

Dang and I just hit 1500 post..more post than hours. That is not good!!!
 
Now that we've ascertained that most PoA fans are rooting against the cheaters, the next big question: what time, to the minute, is kickoff?

They always make it so hard to find out. It's like a scam to make you waste time watching commercials before there's a football game to show.
 
I'd rather watch Dora the Explorer.....at least I'd be smarter by some miniscule measure. Maybe.

I dont give two shirts about the NFL or their pansy ass cry baby knee taking entitled players.

If this was even remotely true, everyone would be a Giants or Jets fan. The only dynasty they have is the loss column.
 
I'll also say instant replay fuggged up the game to the point I cannot stand it. It's micromanage the game into oblivion.
