Which way do I go?!

No, was just reading about it last night in the latest issue of Pilot Getaways. ;-) Sounds like something that would be fun to experience at least once. Have you ever been there?

P.S.--If you have that issue, the paint job on that airplane on the cover is horrendous, but again, apropos for Burning Man.

I don't know that I have the guts. That might be another way of saying not sure I "could stomach it"!

I like 'free thinking', but throngs of unruly folks with little respect for others puts me off (I realize I am inferring an awful lot here but y'all read those rules and see if you don't come away with the same impression).

PS when I was reading it, I was thinking, "No!No! We can't let Gaston's get like this!"

I kind of got a different impression (as far as the 'respect for others' goes) when reading the article; of course, I've never been there nor heard anything much about it other than the name, before this Pilot Getaways story. I was left with the impression that the artistic "hippy" community takes the 'leave no trace or mark' rule very seriously--no evidence that they were there when they leave.

That's pretty cool, in and of itself. I bet somebody on this board has been, and can give a PIREP. ;-) Henning?

I've looked at it and been sorely tempted. I just don't think I have the creativity to come up with appropriate costumes and artwork! OTOH, I could bring my SIL. I think she'd just love it! Had a co-worker a few years ago who had gone and talked about it. I certainly disagree with characterizing them as having no respect. On the contrary, I take them as having a lot of respect for others as well as themselves, and being very individualistic, too!

I know that Bil Jennings had expressed an interest in it last year.

Yea, as crazy as it sounds I think I want to experience this once. I like the bizzare and off the beaten path adventures and this falls into that category. My wife on the other hand would probably pass.

Maybe a POA adventure?

BTW, everything I have read about BM demonstrates a respect of community and care for others.

You can't forget your birkenstocks and marijuana when you go.

BTW, the burning of Zozobra is much cooler.
