which plane (money not a factor)

If I just had to spend it on ONE plane.... If I won 10 mil, I would get an M600. 20 mil, an M600, 30 mil.... I am just not interested in riding in the back, and nothing against pro-pilots, but I enjoy flying myself. I would want a plane that could go slow, go fast, fly low, fly high, take off on high, hot, short, contaminated runways. Now if I could get a fleet would bring in some specialty planes. A bush plane, a turboprop, a single pilot jet. I keep thinking about what my next plane will be, and got nothing. :-(
Sounds like what you need is a pc24!!

How much did we say the Powerball was?

Very nice plane there. I have been goofing around and really like the Baron G58. Something a few years old maybe. I don't like buying brand new even if it is in the budget. Let someone else work out the bugs and take the depreciation hit.

Okaaaaaaaay here we go, if money were no object I'd have a fleet like Jay Leno has cars - with mechanics employed exclusively for my fleet.

Aviat Husky
Cessna 140
Cessna 177 (I've heard the visibility is supreme)
Cessna 180 early model, as original restoration as possible (wheels)
Cessna 185 - with speed mods (wheels)
Cessna 185 - with STOL mods (Fat tahrs)
Cessna 185 - with STOL mods (wheel/skis)
Cessna 185 - on Amphibs
Cessna 195
Cessna T206H
Cessna 208
Cessna 208 (amphibs)
Cessna 310
Cessna 336
Cessna 337
Cessna 340
Cessna T-50 Bobcat
Cessna Mustang
Pilatus PC24
Pilatus PC12
Pilatus PC6 Porter
DeHavilland Beaver (wheels)
DeHavilland Beaver (floats)
DeHavilland Twin Otter (amphib)
Beech 18
Beech 18 (floats)
DC3
C-46
AN-2
Beriev 103
Helio Courier
Grumman Goose
Grumman Albatross
T-6 Texan
F4U Corsair
Douglas DC6
Diamond DA40 through DA 62

And a big WWI Blimp hangar to house them all...

But money is a factor so I'm happy with my 180 :)

Jets are cool and all and a pc24 would be a really cool thing to own someday but part of me loves the appeal of propellers and being able to fly into small airports

I think modern jets are boring. Since money is no object if you were to go that route I'd definitely look to that Aerostar jet or something old and loud as hell!

PC24 is a nice plane. But I doubt that I could ever feel right about getting out of a jet that size by myself, knowing that I just stomped out the carbon footprint of a city block. Probably not the worlds best environmentalist, myself, but that is a little excessive for my conscience.

While a TBM or PC single engine turboprop would certainly do the job, if I ever hit it big I think a twin turboprop like one of the BE series King Airs would be fun.

TBM, etc for getting around.

Extra for fun.

Lancair/Glasair to race at Reno (if they continue).

P-51 for ....well, does it really need explanation?
