Where is AOPA when you need them? Solberg Airport in trouble!

http://solbergairport.azurewebsites.net/

I used to take lessons out of Solberg Airport in NJ but what Readington Township is doing to Solberg Airport is very terrible. Readington Township wants to take over ownership of Solberg Airport and steal the airport from the Solberg family! Details in the links posted.

Maybe be a good idea to send them an email.
Might be possible that they have not heard of it yet, there are quite a lot of airports out there...

Where is AOPA when you need them?

On top of things...seems to be a trend around here...bash the AOPA and then learn that they are interested/available to respond and/or already engaged...

Have YOU called the AOPA and expressed your interest in this matter? Yes/No

I can't speak to the value of the AOPA's effort but it sure looks like they are in the mix for sure...

AOPA reported on the event and wrote some letters. If the event is resolved in favor of GA, AOPA will take credit. Typical AOPA action plan.

Thanks for pointing that out. Guess I gotta do my research. It seems that they are covering the lawsuit to close Santa Monica Airport so much that I thought they ignored other airports in need of AOPA's help.

I even saw a letter written by AOPA to the Readington Township mayor strongly opposing the takeover of Solberg Airport. Thanks AOPA!

Just learned that the Readington Township unfortunately passed the ordinance to acquire all of Solberg Airport! The Readington Township government is so corrupt, it doesn't even change their minds to stop this nonsense despite me hearing that ALL and I mean ALL of the Readington residents in that meeting strongly voiced opposition the mayor's plan to take over all of Solberg Airport!
