What resources do you guys use to find ferry pilots? I imagine that creating a post and looking for them on here is pry a good idea, but pry not the best solution.

I also know about global-air's solution.

Anything else out there?

I found three right here via. POA. You looking for one? Pm EdFred.

What do you need moved? PM me if you like.

I know one or two. Depends on what you want moved, where from, to, and when.

What are you needing ferried? To be honest, the majority of the ferry work of light aircraft that I've seen done was just done by someone local on one or the other end of the job. It does get a little more complicated if the airplane is something special that requires different pilot qualifications than average though.

I might be interested, depending on where and when.

There's a bar in downtown Denver called The Wrangler.

Oh, I thought you said fairy pilots. Never mind.

I've done a few and have a couple lined up. Checkout my website and let me know if I can help you out. I'd be glad to send a quote to you

Word of mouth and Internet forums are the best IMO.

Barnstormers and the like's services offered area for a second choice.

I could be interested too. I've taken light aircraft to 50+ countries and 47 states so far...

Most likely, you would find them piloting a ferry.

I tried not to, but, sometimes, the temptation is just too great.

Thanks everyone! I'm trying to find resources for people in general. I've had people ask me before where to find them and I couldn't really find any places for it.

I want to make a blog post organizing methods and resources for pilots to find ferry pilots.

I don't need one right now, but thanks everyone!

As said, just depends. Word of mouth is the best way, I find.

I ferry piston twins (Twin Cessnas, Aztecs, Navajos, etc. I'd even ferry a Duke). I won't ferry piston singles. I would call VanDy if I wanted an old taildragger ferried (or if I wanted someone to teach me how to fly said old taildragger).

Who is Van Dy?

Ask around the local airports, and FBOs, everyone will give you a story and pilots name.

I play ferry pilot occasionally..

@Katamarino
Think I found a picture of Ted ferrying a duke...

Local ferry pilot is qualified in Staggerwing Beech and have moved a couple for their owners. He's off picking up a C182Q next week.

It's also an easy job, since it will always be on the ground.

Seems like pushing-it even just across the ramp-would be pretty hard...

But I guess you'd look cool!

I have a tug for that. I look cooler in a tug than pushing a plane.
