You gotta give the A&P a copy of your log for annuals, to verify performance of one-time AD's and such.

No you don't. I gave my A&P photocopies of the relevant log sheets. Those old logs are falling apart and you have to handle them like the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Avionics shop does the same thing, gives me stickers. One thing that I do give them is my orginal POH so they can take pages not needed anymore out and put pages in for any new panel work and they put a new W&B in also.
Mine is very fragile like the dead sea's scrolls. lol
