The flight deck of the world's largest airplane, the Antonov An-225. Somehow the Garmin 196 clamped to the panel makes it look a little more ... accessible, no?

So, if we were to consider our youth to be the future of mankind and the budding astronauts of tomorrow, what is wrong with this picture?
The cooling fans seem typically Russian, too. The 1958 An-2 I flew in last summer in Germany had similar fans.Okay Russian, I get the blue panels but what is up with the polka-dot upholstery?

The seats could use a little more padding.

The pressure suits and parachutes they wear during takeoff and landing seem to have enough built-in padding:
Why? They don't sit in them but for a few minutes. I don't think it's even a half hour between re entry and touch down. Hell we spent all day in wooden seats in school.
...and walk up hill both ways, to and from.
