What's on your bucket list?

Bucket list huh..........

I have done almost all I wanted to do... No regrets...

Biggest challange is to live one more day so I can fly.. There are no guarentees in life.. I can last 50 more seconds and fall over dead of a massive heart attack, or die in bed 50 years from now of old age........ :)

  1. Ride a motorcycle around the entire US, hitting every state. Visit every national park while I'm doing it, and hit all the nice beaches and good seafood restaurants in coastal states. Camp on the good nights, hotel on the bad. Eat at all the Mom-n-pop restaurants and one offs, NO CHAINS. Talk to the locals. Ideally this would take years to do right.
  2. Get a fun go anywhere airplane, something like a Just Aircraft, and go nowhere in particular. Fly along and look at cows on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Maybe even drop in to visit them. Take it on cross country trips to visit all of you, fly on the good VFR days, hole up on the bad. Not care how long it takes. Enjoy a few frosty cold ones.
  3. Have the time and resources to get down to the islands and charter a sailboat as often as I would like. Now that's a vacation! No, thats life!
  4. Try hang gliding. This one I will do early summer.

Nice list except the hang gliding for me. You have to PM me and school me as to where you charter sailboats and which Islands. My son and I got our ASA Certification last year. We are rookies and I mentioned going to the Virgin Islands to take the next level course.

OK I won't call it a bucket list cuz I don't think that way. Here goes.

I want to fly a Cessna Citation or a Lear Jet. The old ones are fine. I was wondering what it would cost to get a type rating in one of those. I'd never fly past the rating but I really don't care. I don't want to SAY I did it, I just want to do it. I thought about buying those cheap jets that I see for less than $100K. If I could fly it for 100hrs that would be worth it ? I know they are junk. Buy it fly it part it out.

I guess I need my instrument rating and multi engine rating to get started. LOL

Welcome to POA,,,..

PS... Where the heck is that place...

Namibia is in SW Africa, he wants to fly from the capital to the coast. Not a long flight across a beautiful desert that you don't want to go down in lol. It used to be a German colony, my cousin spends a good bit of time there.

For the immediate future, continuing the recording of places in the surrounding area such as are these. Re Image #4, a few of you may be familiar with Red's Eats, at the beginning of the Don Davey Memorial Bridge in Wiscasset; or where the schooners Hesper and Luther Little sat for many decades.

Right you are... we're actually planning a first trip now for Aug. 2015. Can't wait to see it.

I think I am lucky to say I have done a lot of things that might be on a list. I would like to fly to Alaska but it might be to late for me.

Call Troy. He could come down and you could fly him back up. Then you could fly home. Just watch the throttle....

My aunt had to chase the baboons out of her hut, they were trying to steal her fruit, we laughed our asses off watching her chase them out with a broom.
