Edison, a 6-week-old kitten, was brought to Angell after allegedly being placed in a microwave and cooked. Upon examination, adoption center veterinarians found that his wounds are relative to those of being placed in an operating microwave that was then turned on.Edison's life-threatening injuries range from the loss of half of his tail -- to be removed through surgery and possibly the entire tail in the upcoming days -- burns to his legs and ears, including a dime sized hole on one ear and the possible need to amputate both, as well as blisters on his tongue. Edison's case is currently under investigation by the MSPCA's Law Enforcement Department.

My parents taught me that people who are cruel to animals are the cruelest of all.

I taught my children the same.

We have two horses, two dogs, two cats, a fish, innumerable turkey, groundhog, deer, opossum, and raccoons inhabiting our sprawling four acres.

Most of us who hunt and fish, do those with humane methods.

But every so often some degenerate has to reveal what the human heart is capable of -- that's what I'd rather not see.

I'm not a cat person either. But I could probably pretty convincingly pretend to be one if it'd earn me a chance to be locked alone in a room with one of those people. :mad:

I understand that some people don't like certain types of animals. While I love dogs I really do not like those little yippy things that are called dogs. But never in my wildest dreams would I ever think about killing on of them or just be cruel to them.

There are times I'd like to kick my cat across the room and toss his litter box in the garbage. Tis more true when my leg may be hanging off the bed while sleeping in and the little s... bites my toe.

But, at the end of the day he comes to me for attention and gives back. For this, I'm glad to have him around.

Quite true. Anyone who is cruel to the defenseless truly has a blackened heart.

I say lock the punk(s) up with a lion and see how badass they are then.

Well I have a Dog (rotty) and my cat just died 7/4, and i think these people should be hung up by their toes and BEAT Unmercifully.

I just cannot look... I hope they can save him. I hope the bastards go to jail -do you know if inmates treat people who do this the same as they would treat incarcerated pedophiles?

Dan is right. People who do that kind of thing are the worst people.

There are precisely two cats in the entire world that don't spit at me on sight. The rest hate me to no end; probably because I'm a dog person and I really can't stand cats except for those two specific ones. That said, I'd love to be on the jury.
Verdict: Guilty.
Punishment: Stick the person in a microwave and turn it on. -- Fair's fair.

I've said this before. The most extreme acts committed in a population of 300 million are going to be quite extreme indeed. And it is only the most extreme acts that will be reported by our advertisement-infested media. Hence these horrific stories.

Even in my worst cat-hating period (had an ex-girlfriend with entirely too many of the little fiends. More than 2 is eccentric in my view, and I think she had a half-dozen) I would have never carried out such an act. Can't say I didn't contemplate it in passing, especially for that hideous little beast that sunk its claws into my six just as we approached that special moment of our horizontal folk dance.

That is just plain sick. Such filth needs to be removed from the gene pool. 3 cats and a dog in this house and I just couldn't conceive of doing such a thing to any of them. Unfortunately, the legal codes do not allow for the proper treatment of such garbage.

Gee, what could that possibly have been? Let's see, distemper shot, rabies vaccination, you're a man so it couldn't have been spaying...I'm just at a loss. :goofy::D

My tomcat came back home after a couple of weeks chasing skirts and had the mange. I couldn't even bring myself to have him 'put to sleep'. I don't even like to remember what the vet's bill was. :hairraise:

Considering some of his previous posts, I'd say distemper. He really needs to chill out a bit. "dog" person, definitely.
