What should we be expecting as far as a timeline for the phase out of 100LL. I am starting to get a little worried.

You should expect a lot of panic.

When in trouble, when in doubt.
Run in circles, scream and shout.

Then someone will figure out how to make money on some sort of replacement and it will all go away.

No clear answers.

Lots of storm clouds on the horizon.

Hard to discern their progress, but they seem to be headed our way.

Consensus seems to be that, unless you're flying a high-comp engine that craves octane, you'll be ok whatever happens.

EPA has a NPRM out, but the public comment period closed 6/28. I think they are targeting 2017 for no more leaded avgas.

George Braly from GAMI will be discussing their proposed solution at OSH if you'll be attending. One proposed alternative.

George is quite a guy. In addition to being a PE and attorney, he's been a great mentor to many of us and has built quite a company up there with Tim Roehl. Definitely worth a listen if you'll be there.

Best,

Dave

i think our 182 can run auto gas. otherwise there is always winch and auto launches.
