I've got a long way to go, as I haven't even taken off yet, although I'm at least cleared for takeoff. But I noticed that some people here are on final approach. Presumably either landing or go-around is next. Does the landing occur when you die? What happens if you die and you haven't even taken off yet? Asking for a friend (no, to those who actually know me--I'm not dying and I don't have a terminal disease that I know of other than life itself).

Touchdown Greaser!, followed by Taxi to Parking and ultimately Tied Down (for our most ambitious members).

We check a box in the Admin Panel that indicates the user has “Gone West”. Gosh, I hate doing that…

After I land - focus on getting back to the tie-down... then start get a little ****ed that it had to end for that day.. then start planning the next flight.

I, for example, have landed (a smooth one apparently.) I can't "Go West" because I'm already here.

Before "tied down", shouldn't there be a "go to the restroom" ?
Here, it's called the "defueling station". A small sign advises pilots to: "Remain close to the defueling receptacle to avoid a HazMat situation."

More like a screeching tire smoking stop, bail out, run into the FBO with a panicked look on your face, seeing several folks all pointing in one direction, full run into the restroom, then, with a smile on your face, calmly walk back to the plane to tie it down...

So what post count do you need to be tied down?

I feel confident a landing of so type will occur once you are out of fuel.

Pretty sure is was Henning.

I *think* Henning had his ejection seat pulled.

This was pre-ejection. Ok, @Ted, were you on the board when this transpired? Or maybe Spike?

@jesse would probably be the one who knows more about the technical details there. I don't even recall that specifically, but it's been a while.

IMO the post counts are way out of wack. I may be wrong, but I suspect the super high post counts are from the Spin-Zone days.
Maybe not… but in all honesty, who cares??

Now that you mention it, I have noticed "Touchdown, Greaser!" At the rate I'm going, I won't even take off before I Go West.

I maintain the most mysterious tag of them all. ;)

Also some will remember, one of the crafty admins set Henning's post count to decrement after each post once he crossed 50k. This place used to get goofy.

I thought Henning got to 50,000 and started counting backwards

Mods, I feel like I’ve seen this listed somewhere on the site before, but my google-fu is failing me. Was this stickied somewhere or is it in a profile menu like the trophies?
