Unusual for Maine, Most of December I spent raking the leaves left over from November, to be completed in April/May. I could have mowed the lawn on Christmas Day. Same scenario occurred during January; and the latest to never have been skiing. February changed all the above, except still to go for first ski trip. Pictures below are from February 09, following the 2nd snow during the month.
Oh, the rigors of owning a north-facing hangar.

The truck handles much better with some weight in the back. The ramps' owner's manual advises, "Do not operate engine while loading/offloading machinery." Duh! As though one is going to push a snow blower or riding lawn tractor up the ramps?

Yeah it finally cooled off a mite. Didn't want to see another no winter year, its bad for the trees.

We skipped winter here... It's going from late fall to early spring in AR.

That's what you get for relying on weather forecasting from a rodent named Phil. :D

Just saw a picture of Phil sitting on a beach chair in Florida with a drink,I think he lied.

What is this white stuff on your ground? California beach sand?

I drove the convertible to work today wearing a T-shirt and sunglasses again. (yes, I did have pants and shoes too :D )

Dude... Phil died right before he was supposed to come out. They had to find a Phil 2.0 Ricky-tick!

That rodent sure lied. Hell it was 25 here today and this weekend is forecasted to be worse. brrr

Perhaps I can con the company into sending me back to CA for the week :D

"what happen to early spring" = nothing, our crocus are up, and the evergreen Clematis are in bloom. I am already behind on my lawn chores.

We had over night freezes and highs in the 40s a couple of weeks ago. Highs in the mid 70s now and the mountains look great capped with white SNOW.

It's in the mountains, I can drive there if I want to play in it. :)

It had been a mild winter in Sparrow Fart until now, but it looks like we're making up for it this week.

Very erratic winter in north Georgia, too. Up to high 70s the week of Christmas, then snow and the teens a week later.

I believe "Early Spring" has been canx by a higher authority than groundhogs.

Did I see snow falling in the Carolinas on a news report today?
