What did you do to learn the ground material?

A book (Rod Machado Private Pilot Handbook)
King Private Pilot DVDs
And stuff I wasn't clear about, my CFI

Worked out pretty well for me. I am a visual learner, so King DVDs helped out a ton.

The Rod Machado book is excellent reading. He's a pretty funny guys with some sometimes dry material.

I studied hard and then got to where I could solo and then studied some more. I found that I had a lot better appreciation for the material at that stage and was studying for other reasons than to just pass the written.
