What airport would you never go to again?

Alot of small airports, especially grass strips don't have parallel taxiways. You just self announce your tail # and say "is backtaxiing on 17" and announce again when you're clear of the runway.

Sometimes even at a towered field with parallel taxiways, they will let you backtaxi - When I was doing my night landings in the Duchess for my commercial, MYF tower let me taxi back on the active each time (club policy prohibits touch and goes at MYF in twins so each landing was a full stop.)

TTN (Trenton, NJ)
A- its in New Jersey
B- its in Trenton, NJ!
C- HORRIBLY RUDE SERVICE AT THE FBO
D- OUTRAGEOUS FEES AT THE FBO $120/nt Per plane (we had 2 Cessna 182s and we got a top off too)

but in my opinion. i don't need to read past reason A....
Take it easy! Joisey ain't so bad... stop at 47N next time, or KVAY.In fact, almost any NJ airport without a tower is a better bet.

Seriously, I think the FBO problems encountered in NJ are typical of a nationwide trend... the exceptions shine brightly, though, and same goes for self-serve situations.

To me, griping about suppliers, and an airport or FBO is a supplier, can do nothing but help GA. It lets them know that they are not dealing with just one pilot anymore, but every one of us.

That is the beauty of web sites like this, for the first time in the history of aviation, one single nobody pilot can instantly communicate with hundreds, if not thousands, of other nobody pilots.

Eventually this type of communication will force airports, FBOs, maintenance shops, equipment suppliers, and even the FAA, to clean up their acts if they want to remain in business.

I was with you right up till that part about "changing the FAA".

One thing I've learned from my 52 years on this planet is that there is no amount of external pressure from users that can change a government bureaucracy.

Wauchula Fl.

Why? Middle of nowhere.

Decent runway. Accessible little pilot lounge with honor system snacks. Quiet as all get out.

It's just in the middle of the middle of nowhere. I cannot, for the life of me, imagine life ever taking me back to Wauchula.

LaGuardia, either as a pilot or an airline passenger. Actually I can't say that I would never go there since I might get sent there, but I would never choose to go there again. There is no parking on the ramp by the FBO so they need to drive you out to your airplane each time. I've had lengthy delays even to start taxiing after engine start let alone to take off. The only good thing I can say is that the FBO is in the old Marine Terminal which has come cool art deco murals.

Sometimes I can get a little carried away with my wishful thinking.

Williamsburg, VA, JGG. I would say what I really think, but the lying sack of **** owner would probably try to sue me. They only care about how much money they can get out of people. The restaurant is good, but I refuse to waste another dime there.
