What after Solo?

I am trying to knockout my PPL ASAP (within 15 days). I have done 2 super solo and CFI has signed me off. I am so far 28 hours dual.

I need to know how much more lessons do I need before checkride. I need to get written test knocked out too. I am almost prepared for it.

I am getting a little impatient and want to make sure I can make it in time.

any advice?

Ask your instructor. He will know better than anyone else what YOU need.

Hard deadlines and aviation don't mix well. Good luck.
 
Oh, night flying, three hours flight by reference to instruments, long cross country, night cross country are a few things that come to mind. I, too, was impatient at one point in my training. Check what you've logged against the minimum required in the regs, then talk to your instructor. Don't rush it.

thanks, i forgot to mention that i was detected as color blind, in future i will take some other color test to remove that limitation. but considering the limitation, i think night cross country may not take place.

i plan on talking to instructor next time we meet.

but ur right, i think being impatient after solo is natural ;-)

what's the rush? my first CFI offered this tidbit of advice early in my training when I was taxiing a bit too fast...."nothing good comes from being in a hurry".
 
I love the idea of getting qualified in 15 days but it just wasn't the way to go for me. A fifteen day course just didn't allow me the time to let everything sink in that I learned on a given day. I am 52 though. I learn a little slower these days.

You can do it, I see no reason I couldn't have done it even in my aged state if... I had not been working with a busy life to boot.

Good luck, and if you don't make it .. chill.. It's not so important to meet a deadline but to do it safely,

One good thing about getting it done quickly, you don't have time to forget much between flights. One thing I learned by stretching it out over several months is that having lots of time between flights hurts your abilities to get the ck ride quickly but it may prepare you for life after the ck ride if you can't fly every day. I an just weekend guy. You may have a more aggressive goal. I would have if I had done this younger.
 
I'm close to the same place you are in hours (33) and signed off for solo.
I would echo the others with using caution on setting timelines and getting impatient because it can lead to a safety issue now or further down the road. I've been slow rolling along at 2 hours per week since january and I've been reading forums and books in between my flights. I've gone through the full ground school two times and have learned a TON more information than I ever would had I just slammed everything through in a few weeks.
As for what to do after solo, I personally am focusing on my weak points. I initially would do a lot of touch and goes and am now starting to work more on procedural stuff where I'm hitting all my checklists and transitioning from tower to approach. Doing my clearing turns prior to maneuvers etc.

If it took 28 hours to solo, youre likely to blast righ by the 40 hour minimum (like most people anyway). I'd chill out a little and enjoy the journey. You have a LOT left to do.
 
The ppl gives one the license to learn how to fly. Four seasons four times and you become aware of how little you really know. Constant learning experience and cannot be rushed
