Well, I guess peanuts will be banned next...

I used to fly Southwest alot, and a couple flights they wouldnt give out peanuts because of someone claiming an allergy.

I've heard stories where someone had a peanut allergy so bad, they can tell when someone in the room opens a bag.

Considering the shrinkage of the bag over the years, that was what, 15 nuts?

odd side thought: I guess no flight crew on SWA suffers from an alergy to peanuts

After reading the article, I can wrap my head around Sefilian's view that e-cigs might be okay within the bounds of not being a real "burning" cigarette, but I will side with the crew that he broke the law by not complying with the directions of the flight crew.

Even if the FA's are mis-informed and that the e-device could be used, we as passengers are still bound to follow their directions. We're reminded of that each time they do the safety briefing.

Finally, Mr. Sefilian did himself and the e-cig cause a bad turn by acting this way. Better would have been noting the crews names, ask how to contact the corporate office, and then make the calm argument to the corporate policy makers.

I sometimes am tempted to claim a cotton allergy, and demand that everyone within five rows remove any cotton clothing.

That's not something I'd really want to see on too many Southwest flights
