Wanted: Rent or borrow 406 MHz PLB

A friend of mine will be ferrying an LSA from Vegas to Maryland. She's probably going to head southeast to El Paso and go around the Rockies to the South, then head northeast.

She's looking to rent or borrow a 406 MHz beacon for the trip (planning on 4-7 days) and I figured I'd ask for advice here.

Those of you who know me but don't know her - I will assume responsibility for the beacon and it's safe return.

The only problem is the PLB is registered to specific person with a specific aircraft description and contact information. You can change it on the NOAA web site.

That's true. When Diana used mine, I provided her the password and she set up the settings appropriate to her. I HIGHLY recommend that anyone borrowing/renting a PLB does the same.
