DER approval came through. Now AP IA needs file 337 and I am legal. OMG what a wringer on emotions!
Now I'll take legal advice on telling other people here what the story has been. I do not want to get any parties involved in trouble (myself and IA/AP). I certainly did not fly after recognizing all the implications.
This question comes up about once a year, they want to test fly without final approvals and its usually around a holiday or something, customer(s) all hot & bothered as the airplane is assembled and doing ground runs for weeks, then they are asked to pay for the special flight permit application if they really gotta fly it ASAP in lieu of waiting for finals...
