Everything Offends Me
Not confirmed through a doctor yet, but it sure seems, after a number of tests and a faint second line on the test thingie on each of them, that I am going to be a daddy.

Holy ****!

edit: This is not a real surprise, we've been trying, this is actually a good thing. But holy ****!

Congrats Nick! :goofy:

I wish you the best of luck, but I can't wait 'til someone starts necroposting your rants against bad parents after you've had a chance to experience it for yourself. ;)

That said, I think you'll do great - The #1 thing for parents is to care, and I know you'll be a deeply caring parent. You won't do everything perfect - Nobody does - But I know you'll do it with the best interests of your child at heart.

Good God, what is this world coming to!

Congrats, BTW!

Welcome to POA Name That Baby!

Let's introduce our 1st contestants, Nick and his lovely bride, Brianna.

EDIT: A friend's brother named their new baby, Sniper Dragoon. I am not making this up. You could not possibly do worse. (I hope)

The real holy **** moment is when you head for the hospital. When you hold your child for the first time, nothing, not "holy ****" or anything else, is adequate to describe the feeling of God/Buddah/FSM saying "Here you go. I just want to say good luck, we're all counting on you. Don't **** this up".

I swear I heard Leslie Nielsen speaking to me when Ciara was born.

Edit... forgot the most important part!

Congratulations!

Can we really survive a Little Nick running around? :hairraise: Congratulations to you. :D

Must be something in the water down south recently - we're expecting in Nov and I just found out that two of my co-workers have recently found out that they are expecting - one in Jan and another in May.

If you think that seeing the two lines is an 'Holy ****!' moment, wait until you see the sonogram and the little dude/dudette waves at you. That's the "Holy ****! Pick me up off the floor!" moment.

I can't imagine what the "Here, would you like to hold your baby" moment will be like.

Congrats!

Congratulations!

This past time for us was a total surprise, I made my wife go to the store to get more tests to be certain, as I nearly fell down the steps when she told me. It's the beginning of an awesome adventure. You teach them daily, and they teach you as well.

I hope it's a girl, and every guy that sees her says "I'd hit it." You know...just for payback. :D

Congrats.

Congrats, Nick!

Guess you'll be wanting a bigger engine for that plane since you'll be carrying 3. :D

Look at it this way, Nick's cost to fly just decreased. Now he only has to pay a 3rd (pro rata).

Congratulations, Nick.

Zing!!!

Congratulations. Now, start banking some sleep, 'cause in about 8 months or so you're not going to get any. And if it's a girl, start banking money, 'cause in 20+ years she's going to want Daddy to pay for a wedding. And those aren't cheap.

You are in for a wonderful experience. Mine are 34 and 31 and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Again, congratulations.

Congratulations! Let us know when you can afford to start flying again! LOL!

Congrats Nick!

My "little one" is now 27, out of college, married and a home owner (no little ones yet), but I still remember "THE DAY" and all the days since. She was never a problem, a smart girl, and a beautiful young woman.

I wish you the same with yours.

A little secret? Just pay attention, you will do fine.

Oh...and CONGRATS! Your world is about to change...

Yay Nick! It sounds like this was a planned thing, so congratulations.

Congratulations! Nothing more important in life!

Cool! Do you know who the father is?

(jk -- Big Congrats to you Nick!)

Post of the year!!!

I second what Ed said. :D

Congrats!

OK, POA gift idea, if it's a girl. Pink t-shirt that says "If you say you'd hit me, my daddy will hit you. In the neck."

Naah. That's one to get for her when she's a teenager.

For now, we need to get her one that says "My daddy did hit it." :D

Congratulations!

I read a great quote some years ago: "Physically, adults produce children. Spiritually (and I'd ad emotionally) children produce adults."
