Quite familiar with Garmin's decision....was expecting the price of the SL30s to go down, no such luck. and the GI106a is the rebranded MD200, iirc. I may go get another TKM MC60, which works very well with the sl30 and about a third of the price, but it's LED which makes it difficult to see when a bright light hits it. As in sunlight shining right on the indicator.Garmin has pulled the plug on the ex-Apollo SL-30 (too bad, one of the better nav coms out there) for their new GNC-255. Any of the resolver style heads should work. The common one used is the Midcontinent MD200-306. The KI-206 should work as well.
