video of Highlanders takeoff @ Sebring Fly-in

Must be nice not to have a takeoff roll.

Full throttle - bop - in the air.

Very nice. You know, I love my plane. I feel like an airline captain. Nothing beats climbing up an airstair into your plane. BUT - seeing stuff like this makes me wish i could convince the missus that we really NEED an extra plane.:D

I tell my wife planes are like golf clubs. You can't drive with a putter and you can put with a driver. I just need a few to do different missions.

I love the low & slow planes. The reason I fly is to see things. LSA give you a great chance to slow down and "see the world".

Just a detail on the Highlander airframe:
It can go either Experimental or LSA, it just depends mostly on the equipment and subsiquent gross weight the owner chooses for their individual aircraft.

WOW, love the RV-Trailer setup for the plane. Ultimate retiring dream huh,.. being able to drive and RV all over the place,.. .pull out the plane and go flying, put it back in the trailer and go again. :yikes:

Yeah, you get a set-up like that going and you might never come home again!

For short hauls, I'm rigging my amphib to tow tail first on its own main wheels from its home hangar to local boat launches and airstrips, no trailer.
