US regional jets under scrutiny

The pilots sound like they were 'testing' the limits of the aircraft. Definitely not smart and as Pinicle said, not something they can teach them NOT to do.

One might wonder what kind of pilots they were before that nonsense happened.

A lot of BS about changing "training" and such, I see again here.

Almost any CFI or other pilot will repeatedly observe that the much touted "Primacy Law" of Learning is EASILY superceeded by the much stronger "Law of I'm-gonna-do-what-I-wantacy-now-that-the-CFI-is-gonacy !"

Tell 'em that the FDR's are subject to random checks after repositioning flights....

Another press hit. "Hot-doggin' Joy-riders".

But the real question is why couldn't they get the engines restarted? Hmm?

See the "Unbeleivable" thread in Flight Following.
