This thing is getting blown out of proportion. *rolleyes*

But it is kind of "fun" to be watching idiots on FecesBook mourn and cherish a national hero. I am waiting for a GoFundMe page for his widow or something similarly boneheaded.
It is like watching a train wreck. You know it's coming, you know the car won't move off the tracks, you know what will happen but you just can't look away.

He wasn't killed over the Indian Ocean, he was killed in a training accident near Miramar.

What a bunch of buffoons.

He actually came back to life at the end of the movie. You can see glimpses of him in several of the dogfighting scenes where Merlin was supposed to be.

Not sure why some find it disrespectful. You'd have to have a very warped view about veteran sacrifice to think a simple movie joke is disrespectful to deceased veterans.

That's hilarious...those were tough times to being newly minted Army Aviator at the time...RIP Goose....

Hmm I just knowwwwwwwww I've seen that guy somewhere ....

I blame it all on Cougar. If hadn't been hanging on so tight and lost his edge, he and Merlin would have gone to Miramar...and Goose would still be alive.
