Unruly Crew

Hmm....I'd guess.....the following line came out pretty early in the disturbance: "that <insert bad word> stole my man!"

Not finding anything more on this incident but one of the commenters at the original posting site made a good point:.

I can imagine (as I don't know actual protocol and roles), that the diversion was less to do with the the attendant's behaviors, but rather that since they were no longer being effective at their jobs, the flight was 'understaffed', as those who were causing the issue could no longer be relied on in the case of an emergency. It's a prudent divert.

interesting.

Kind of different from the behavior of the Jetblue 288 flight crew 18 Jan, who tried to fanagle a fuel stop in Las Vegas rather than take on enough fuel at the gate after de-icing. I'm sure they weren't looking for a free night in Vegas. Nope, I'm sure.

There is no chance the crew wanted to 'fanagle' an overnight in LAS.

A. it's not a great overnight.
B. Most likely you'd just stop, get gas and leave.
C. Even if you were out of duty time the airline would just airline you out after min rest.

No chance of any fun even if Vegas was your thing.

More likely the Captain was above brake release fuel and left since they were legal. Why would you blow of an expensive de-ice and get more gas if you're legal?

Surprising it hasn't come out. Cameras everywhere these days.

If someone was beachslapped, it probably happened very quickly and may well have happened out of sight of passengers. If there were video of it, I think we would have seen it already. I'm surprised we haven't seen some Facebook or Twitter post by one of the passengers about the occurrence.

That's a big frickin boat! Probably has its own beach on one of the decks.

Yeah, ours was a little smaller. I was standing on the Deck 12 fantail of "our" boat (13 decks...) when I shot that.

Had a little "Code Bravo" incident (fire) when they went to swap out an outdated smoke flare and someone set it off. (Or so we were told anyway...)

Captain and crew did an excellent job tossing it in something that wouldn't burn and dragging it from the port side amidships to the Deck 4 fantail where it was monitored and allowed to burn itself out.

I was on deck 6 at the time so I got a photo from overhead. Heh. Tourists. I'm sure the cruise lines hate that everyone has camera phones just like everyone else does these days. :)

Popping orange smoke off of Cuba! Woooot.

Hahaha.

Found out a bit more on what happened:

"On Jan 28th 2016 The Aviation Herald learned that two flight attendants disagreeing over work issues engaged in a fist fight, a third lady trying to calm the other two down was hit by the flying fists, the purser informed the flight deck and the captain decided to divert."

Also here is the ATC feed. Haven't listened to it but not much on it according to the liveATC forum post below:

"A flight attendant is not able to perform her duties"... that's the only interesting thing on the audio. It's something though.
