Not sure why, but that cowl look hideous on the few shots of the tricycle gear bird. Makes it look like a Cessna. Maybe it’s the angle or the color or I don’t know what.

But the same cowl on the tailwheel bird looks decent. I think it must just be the photos

Wow! The excessive braking is what makes it impressive. Still looks weird, but I know for certain that most of the population of PoA looks weird, too, and yet some of the members still have value.

Moving the axles aft and keeping the gear tall allows for a much higher pitch attitude on the takeoff roll. That's the secret to its takeoff performance.

I can crank the nose wheel off the ground as soon as I advance the throttle on my 150, but that doesn’t give it amazing takeoff performance. There’s a little more to it.
