Tracking of ADs

I was talking about being incommunicado so the owner couldn't reach you, not out of the jurisdiction so the FAA couldn't violate you.

I would think that at any airport where you might land there is cell phone coverage. if you really became paranoid about AD compliance, you could call FSDO and ask if any new ADs had been issued that might effect your make and model

Yea....good luck with that one.

I couldn't write here what my PMI would say to me, but I bet he'd help a worried pilot.

whether you would or wouldn't has yet to be seen.

I'll wager it's all in how it was put to you. or any airworthiness inspector.

Certainly cell coverage has gotten better over the years yet there remains an additional reason for lack of reception: certain cell providers don't provide.

When I was in AZ, I had no problem with Verizon. Couldn't say the same about Sprint, ATT, etc.

So, there you ares at an airport in the middle of nowhere with no cell coverage and no landline or Internet. Heck, you can't even check weather/NOTAMs, and that's a lot bigger concern for me than the possibility of an Emergency AD with immediate compliance having been issued overnight and an FAA Inspector who knows about it waiting to ramp check me at the next stop.

There we were, north rim of the Grand Canyon, 150 miles from on where, with 4 bars..........
