Even though I was on "vacation" for a month, haven't seen anything lately by Tom. Did Norman run him off or something? Hope he's well.
 
He heard national doughnut day was coming so he's in the bunker stock piling
 
I've wondered the same thing. Haven't seen him in awhile.

People always seemed to crucify him, but I enjoyed reading his knowledge.

Concur. A little rough at times getting his message across but all those years in the Navy will do that to you.
 
I reached out to see what happened a few days ago. He's no longer reading POA, after having a short ban.

His posts were entertaining and I learned a bit too. It was nice to see differing views.

I suggested he put annoying people on "ignore".

I have one person on ignore and it makes POA a low blood pressure endeavor, as it should be...its just for fun. Amazing how "ignore" is like magic.

You can see there was a post that by someone you are ignoring and then selectively read it. Works to avoid threads they start and to occasionally look at what they are saying on threads you are already involved in.

The coffee addled west coasters know all about doughnuts...other than Starbucks patrons. Apparently they only do biscotti. ;)

Yeah, I think it was in college that I learned my elementary through high school grammar teachers were all wrong. They all taught that you weren't supposed to end with a preposition. When I found out that wasn't true, it made many sentences easier to write.

So I know where you are coming from.
 
If tom d did show back up I don't think I would know. He was on my naughty list for a while. Not sure if I ever removed him. His argumentative nature was more than I felt his knowledge was worth. Just my opinion....

It was just the way he is, I didn't pay any mind to it nor did he mean any bad will by it.
