Soloed at 6 hours and got PPL at 40. Biggest things that helped me was to play it over and over in my head each time before I went up. I also recorded a lot of my flights so I could review what I was doing wrong. You can practice the procedures by using a home flight Sim. I've seen a lot of the students simply get over whelmed. The more you can beat into your head before you go up the less time and money it's going to cost you. Think of it as homework. If you really want through this you can't just show up once a week and think it's going to just happen, takes prep work. Put in the work and it pays off, I promise.
