Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. Very windy, with a northwest wind 17 to 20 mph increasing to between 33 and 36 mph. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph.

Get out the FlyBaby, Matt. Sounds like a great day for a backwards cross-country!

It was like that here last week, winds in the 30 and 40kt range everywhere we went. It was a great re-introduction to a plane I hadn't flown in a couple months!

My wife was bummed today. She had to drive 5 1/2 hours to Boone, IA, instead of a 2 1/2 hour flight (sometimes less). It was just a little too windy for the Citabria and me for an overnight out and back.

Also, the drive requires her to stay an extra day for the same amount of visit time. She prefers to fly, BIG TIME!
