He is tethered to his jeep.
I don't see anything that could go wrong.

Completely safe ,and a logical solution.

80% of humanity is stupid. The reason God made so many stupid people is because they are there for entertainment, and the attrition rate is supposed to keep up with supply. We screwed up though with all this safety legislation. Between medicine and safety legislation, we really screwed up mankind.

We're not supposed to pay actors millions of dollars to fake death, we're supposed to give stupid people alcohol and watch God's plan unfold. Human script writers are lame, and you just can't really replicate the way blood splatters and flows with anything else.

Second time I jumped I was out out and directed to power lines. I landed 50' from a road, 30' from water, 100' from a large power line. It was the last time I jumped.

This guy didn't jump. He is just flying there like a kite.
I think he has a winch on his jeep and he is just chilling there.

Nobody that knows this person should be surprised if he makes the evening news.

You're just jealous...

Crappy camera/image. He is in between 2 sets.
One small set in front, and the big tall one is behind him.

Yeah, it's a parasailing rig same as you use with a boat, basically a manned kite. Depending on how far those lines are behind him and what the wind is doing, if you had a road side stand, you could likely sell me a burger and beer, I love what happens when lines drape across transmission lines.:yesnod:

Aww, c'mon. There is a certain entertainment value to watching some of the things humans are capable of doing to ourselves.

That's what I mean. With safety legislation we are depriving ourselves of that free entertainment resource.

I dunno. Some people are determined to provide entertainment to the rest of us regardless of regulations. A couple summers ago I watched a guy fly his powered parachute tricycle through a bean field, bouncing along the ground for nearly 1/2 mile. That was a true WTF moment.

Were the beans ok.:dunno::dunno:...;)

I always loved doing long, stopped down, exposures in a thunder storm, such cool results.

One of my favorite hobbies. I call it fishing.
Very similar. Wait wait wait bam!

I have some really great photos of lightning as planes streak by

We could have so much more. We could have a Web channel called "Hey, Watch this!" sponsored by liquor companies. You do your stunt playing for a life time supply of booze. It might only last to the end of the stunt, but if you make it, drunk for life!

Back in film days I would shoot lightning storms on Kodachrome 25 and stop the lens all the way down. On dark storm night you could leave it open for several minutes, hold through several strikes to fill the frame, and still come out with great exposures.

That would get ratings!

Kind of like any Red Bull sponsored event.

His wife is driving the jeep and she just paid up his life insurance.

If she let him out on a winch, she could start dousing the line with lighter fluid when he's about 30' off the ground as she reels him out to the full 200'. If he hasn't climbed out and dropped by then light the line on fire and watch him freak out deciding between falling to his death or being electicuted.

THAT would sell some serious beer and tequila. You could have her on the "Creative Killing" channel where you talk stupid people into getting killed.
