So did you contact them to see if they had a copy of the original EWB and Equipment List for your S/N 8A?

No, but I could try. I have an old xerox of the original (stained and damaged with some of the paper worn through and data missing). The list is not very specific, EG: "Engine" "Propeller" "Heter" (sic) "Wheels" without further explanation. "Hey, it's got a prop, raht thar up front! Whatcha complain' about?"

Or there was no requirement for the 1st 13 years to send anything in. Since the items you mentioned above were listed on the Aircraft Specifications no requirement to document externally.

Probably, the aircraft is pretty much unchanged from new other than the upholstery. Same six instruments / gauges, same mag switch, same four Bowden push-pull knobs... Oh, it got a pair of 3-point belts...

Remember... there's a lot more to owning an aircraft than being overly retentive on the empty weight and equipment list.
