Wouldn't standard pressure for LNK be 28.70

A2992 is the altimeter setting, not the pressure.

I like those days, but early. When we get severe clear / calm in summer by 10 Am it's pretty bumpy. a nice light breeze helps dissipates the thermals.

It's *almost* perfect...the issue is that it's KLNK.

Maybe if it was KARB....
