the "not worthy of it's own thread" thread

Did you do the Iron Butt??

We did the '19 Iron Butt Rally but did not end up with enough points to be considered finishers. Gonna give it another shot next year. We have been two-up rallying since 2008 and long distance riding since 1995. Did not discover LDComfort gear until 2011.

That sounds like hell to me. About 3 hours at a time is all my back, neck and or butt can take on my bike.

Yah... I used to have a bike like that. :D

I bought a model with a heater for that reason. Specifically it does it "tankless" style, so it can never run out of warm water.

Why would you remove toilets from a home just because they had a bidet? Were they some form of mandatory bidet? :D

Haha freaked my wife out! On the other hand (pun intended?) I guess we wouldn't be relegated to using 7th Generation toilet [sand] paper if there's ever another great toilet paper shortage!

I've always been afraid it is a rather cold surprise. No?

My wife and I are looking to buy a new house and really liked one, but all the toilets had bidet attachments. That didn't alone didn't kill our interest, but there was a "do you think we have to replace all the toilets?" conversation.
For whatever reasons, it turns out that that part of one's anatomy is not particularly sensitive to cold. Who knew? I was also surprised at just how surgically the narrow jet stream was aimed.....

The executive branch consists of the President. This person enforces the law, and he has certain other duties like declaring war and approving bills prepared by members of the legislative branch.

When did the executive branch get the power to declare war? I don’t think so.

Article 2, section 8:

The Congress shall have power

...

To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

You... you read Zeldman's entire post? You fact-checked it? That might be worthy of its own thread!

I'm friggin tired. need a nap.

Yeah, I read it. Great post. Very funny. No fact checking required. We had to read, study, and learn the Constitution when I was in middle school. I still remember a lot of the key points. Without going too far, I hope, into politics, we’d be much better off if more of our citizens knew what is in the foundational document of our country.

Yep, I had to do the same thing.

I don't know who wrote it....I found the speech in a worlds most boring speeches search....

It's always a very cool thing when someone passes a checkride.

This morning I watched a fox run across my yard. I didn’t know they could hop fences like that.

I haven't flown in just over a month. My wife had a hip replacement a month ago and is still working on getting enough strength to get into a C-172 or C-182. On the bright side I've got a grandson who wants to go fly. Just need to find a time when he is available and so is a club plane. Any excuse to commit an act of aviation will do. :D

The only problem with flying a club plane is that each of the 3 has different avionics. I don't worry about W&B differences as I have a separate spreadsheet for each. Sure is good that we have a sign on the panel of each with the tail number. I mess that up enough on the initial call to the tower for taxi instructions.

At the risk of jinxing myself, I haven't had a bird strike in 20 years, since the date of my initial solo. I guess the next time I fly I'll wind up resetting that clock.

Agree, however it is also worthy of it’s own thread.

true.

But is discussing if it is worthy of its own thread worthy of its own thread?

and how about the difference between "it's" and "its"? ;)

M I L L I O N dollar question, sheesh...............

M I L L I O N dollar question, sheesh...............

69% of the audience chose N, which to me seems surprisingly good. Fewer than that would have got a PNP vs NPN transistor symbol, the name of the opening chord of Hard Day’s Night, or the literal translation of curriculum vitae. The sad thing is that the producers of the show didn’t throw in K and W as better distractors.

My home airport's runway is still covered by a sheet of ice, so I did some 3d printing to get rid of those crappy velcroed PTT switches that move around everywhere that our 172 came with.

I didn't practice cross wind landings today. KCTB reported 57 mile an hour Gusts .
I haven't been flying since Thursday. Packed snow on runway gone to day

Eight months ago I started a new job. I thought it was going to be epic. Today I need a new job. I now know that epic is not always a positive.

ouch, sorry man. hope it works out for you sooner than later. sounds like we need a stogie fly in soon as well.

Oh no doubt. I’m flying home on the 9th. Even epic fails require a notice.

I need a flight review and was thinking about doing that in the R44 at concord. Perhaps we can meet up when I’m out that way.

Oil leak (maintenance induced failure) is fixed. Some moron pinched the O ring that seals the #2 cylinder rocker cover.
