premiered tonight. I thought it would be a complete knock-off of the original and suck. It was better than I expected. Not sure it will get past the first season but it may. I am not a big fan of remakes like this but it was pretty well done and mostly believable despite the CGI'd explosion at the end.

Thoughts?

I don't own a TV. No money left, after feeding the airplane, for cable bills and such :dunno:

Meh wasn't a fan. Watched 15 minutes or so and couldn't take the gimic anymore. I may try again next Friday.

Wasn't really a fan. Would've been okay if it was a different title or at least referred to richard Dean Anderson.... Was he the grandfather that he referred to in passing? Didn't need the overlay of what he was doing.... Thats plaster and Paperclip and a some tape. OK. Them making the fingerprint was done in fast and furious too.

Let's get the important details out of the way. First and foremost, Did he have a sweet mullet?

Was not impressed, not even close to the last series. Even the jet scene ,did nothing for me.

I want to see new tv shows that do new things not remakes of old stuff.

I was insulted that they felt they had to caption all the pieces for his "MacGyvered" solutions.

As usual the aviation stuff was horrible, as was the computer stuff. So, basically the same as every other network TV show. I'll give it another episode or two to see how it goes.

Ever see the Macgyver multi-tool? It's a paper clip. Google it. I'm too lazy to upload photo.

I kind of lost lock when he jumped in the wheel well of what looked like a 727 and wound up in the cabin of a biz jet. Or maybe I fell asleep between planes.

I did like the fake AIM-9 in the front yard.

Cheers

I know a wheel well scene was filmed on a G-2 at RYY. I didn't watch the show, so I don't know if they did multiple takes and something else made the final cut

Agreed.. coulda done without the captions... the "thought voice" was always plenty in the original.
