I remember reading about that a while back. The soccer riots was just the match - seems like those two countries had simmering tensions leading up to the brief war.
 
Dad had front line seats to it. He was down there to bring a desalinization plant online to feed fresh water to the company refinery.
 
I had to check the by-line on that article, read like something Stephen Coonts would write.
