I'd just like to say thank you to all of you who contribute to this and the other POA forums. This is my first post but I've been following this site for over a year. I've learned a lot, laughed a lot, and generally had a pleasant experience when coming to this site. That being said, I passed my PPL checkride yesterday and received my 'license to learn'. I look forward to moving on to the next step (instrument) and will continue to use this site to learn and for entertainment. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who contribute to this site and make it what it is! I encourage others like me out there who have been lurking to introduce yourself and leverage the expertise on this site!

Welcome and congratulations for the work you have done in getting your PPL. Be conservative, frugal, and enjoy your privileges as PIC.

Congrats - enjoy your new certificate and welcome to PoA!

Let this be an example for the other lurkers out there. Register and introduce yourself :)

I'm sure a lot of students would rather read then post ... the internet (especially the old red board) can get scary for new participants:eek:

Congratulations! Keep posting, so we can follow along on your first flight with a passenger, first $100 hamburger, first "longest flight ever", first IR lesson and any other firsts (or seconds or thirds, etc) that you want to share.

Congratulations! Getting close to my checkride (hopefully). can't wait to have that feeling!

Congrats and welcome.

Now, about that userid? Was that in response to "name something that hasn't happened in 13 years?" :)

Greg,

As a matter of factual speaking, yes. But as a former army football player I can never give up hope. There has been and always will be an ebb and flo of dominance in the army/navy game...still waiting for that pendulum to stop swinging but eventually our day will come! Again, BEAT NAVY! Happy flying!

Lol. Welcome anyway. I'm Navy, my brother and his wife both Army, as well as another brother-in-law.
Feels like home. :)
