Ten extreem jumps

yea leaping from a plane w/o a chute on should be top 3... but #1 deserved to be #1

That they would group Kittinger, who pushed the boundaries of science and technology to develop an egress system to keep pilots alive, with these other individuals who do stunts for kicks and self aggrandizement is insulting.

jumping from over 100,000 feet above the earth... with balls that big, I'm surprised that his being that far off the ground didn't mess up earth's orbital pattern. Or at least pull the moon a bit closer!

and celebrating an amazing jump is celebrating an amazing jump, no matter who else they put in the line up... face it, if they were waiting for other folks like Kittenger, it would have ended up "The One Most Extreem Jump"...

He signed the prototype for my origami meatbomb, which is now my most prized possession.

Felix and Redbull are going to beat Kittingers record just for kicks and self aggrandizement. Besides Kittingers jump was mostly AF PR. What did they test; a drogue? an automatic opener? Big deal. Heck NASA is all stunts and self aggrandizement these days and NASA's stunts are lame.

In the late 70's or early 80's the jump into the big hole thing was done by a guy that jumped out of an airplane, not off the edge.

If you say so. What I saw was a drogue parachute that needed testing to see if it would work at high altitude. To test it at high altitude they needed a space suit, and someone with balls enough to pull it off. A bit more than a stunt in my book.
