...take me out to the selfie.

We're doomed.

(Said In my best "hey kid, get off my lawn" voice!) :wink2:

I love the one announcer's comment, "that's the best of the 300 pictures that I've taken of myself today."

Sure, baseball can be slow (dare I say boring) but still...

The announcer ripped on them for almost 2 minutes for taking endless selfies. Okay, I'm on board. Kids spend too much time on their phones.

....oh wait...there's more?

Turns out that a minute before the camera turned on them the ballpark had a selfie promotion for a sponsor T-Mobil. Take a selfie and send it in.

Not fair for the stadium to ask everyone to take selfies and then be lambasted for doing just that.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm, college girls........

I like the one setting up her cleavage to be just right for the selfie.

so many other things I'd like to say, but for those I think I need proof that these chicks actually are in college. man they look young.

When 20 somethings start looking too young, you know you're getting old.
.
Local announcer Mike Lynch, sang a version of "take me out to the ball game" while previewing selfie takers.

Ahh...a group of sixes making the "hot girl" face that's native to nines. Quickly! Someone invent an app that powers off the phone when average girls photograph themselves...

Kinda like how they shouldn't make yoga pants larger than...say...a size 8?

:goofy:

(BTW...they were sorority girls. All sorority girls are a 10 don't you know? At least in their own mind's eye!)

I shouldn't say this, but I have a niece who probably would have done that. She went to Arizona, not Arizona State. California girl. Cheerleader type. Sorority type. Blonde.

My wife and I always wondered "why?", every time we saw the next round of FB posts.

Not much more I can say about that without getting into more trouble than I probably already am.

Hottest one is clearly the bottom right. She didn't take one picture of herself so I give her props.

I agree we as a culture and millenials spend too much time on our phones and them all on their phones is pretty funny, but I gotta say, I think baseball is the most boring sport! I have been to 2 MLB games with no plan on going to another. How people can watch it is beyond me, but to each his own.

I will say their response to all this criticism...pretty classy.

Making a post about 20 somethings taking selfies????

Are you bored or just ignorant?

Nothing new here....unless you just got out from under the rock you've been living under for the past 8 years.

Actually I just thought it was hilarious. But I see others don't see the entertainment value. I guess funny bones don't stick to Teflon, eh?

The concerning part is I bet most of those gals are going to college and majoring in a 'MRS" diploma with none if any useful skills to get through life....

When they get old and ugly, you will find them sleeping on the sidewalks in any big city... And wondering what the hell happened.

I grew up in St. Louis, so I'm kinda forced to be a baseball fan, but I worked for Fox Sports in Chicago years ago and let me tell you, Wrigley field should be in the Guinness book as the world's largest singles bar. Baseball can be boring, but when there's an abundance of "talent" about you, who needs to watch the game?

Wrigley field should be in the Guinness book as the world's largest singles bar.

The only time I ever sat in Wrigley was in 1977...or '78...when the Cardinals were playing the Cubs.

A bunch of high school buddies piled into a car and drove up from the St. Louis area for the game and then crashed at a flea-bag hotel.

It's the only time in my life I've ever been passed a joint by a 60+ y.o. woman...at least she seemed over 60 to this 18 y.o. kid but everyone over 40 was old then.

Now everyone under thirty is young. Some 16 y.o.'s look 25 and vice versa.

Funny how that works.
