The Switcheon has been working well at my hangar for the last 6 days. It hasn't failed to turn on or off, but sometimes does take a few minutes. As I mentioned, it only receives one bar inside my metal hangar with not-great LTE coverage. Not a fault of the Switcheon...my cellphone only gets one bar too but it gets two bars just outside the door. I did opt to take Sean's advice and picked up an LTE antenna, as much out of curiosity as anything ($15 on Amazon). I drilled a 3/8 inch hole in the outside wall, grommeted it, and mounted to the outside wall. That gave two bars on the Switcheon unit. I can't say it improved performance since it was doing its job just fine before, but hey...two bars is always better than one bar...right?
Sharing the unit is also pretty seamless. My buddy/CFI uses my plane occasionally. He downloaded the app, scanned the QR code on my phone and immediately had access so he could pre-heat remotely. Switcheon is a very cost-effective unit. I'm a big fan.
