Surveillance approach

Had a "DF Steer" once. From the Toledo Flight Service Station.

Hold the mike down 10 seconds.............steer 030º

I got one once from Daggett Radio. I didn’t follow through with the ‘Steer.’ They got my position though. Did the transmit thing, I think it was 5 seconds. Then they gave me a heading to fly and asked my speed. About a minute later they had me transmit again. They not only got my Bearing from the station but distance also. I think there used to be DF Approaches. Paging @aterpster . Were there?
