We're not watching the game, here. I am not even slightly interested, because I can see the commercials through other means, and the hype drives me nuts, but the half time shows sucked so bad the last few years, that if I was intersted in the game, I would still not watch it out of a feeling of silent protest. Voting with my pocketbook, so to speak.

beyonce was the worst in decades. Her stupid show was the straw that broke the camels back and helped us decide to just skip it.

Yep. Two evenly matched teams, good O and D, fairly good halftime show (except for the rappers - they could have left them out).

Shrimp, mozzarella sticks, potato skins, perhaps a beer or two.

The SeaDucks are pulling ahead, but the game ain't over yet. :dunno:

The game of football in general and the super bowl in particular have been feminized beyond recognition. The halftime shows reflect that.

Yup.

The SB is typically slow-play in the first quarter. Everyone is ultra-conservative, not wanting to make a big mistake(see SB 2014, lol) in the first series. Both teams are feeling things out. So, I think the Seahawks decided that they would want the ball when things got loosened up in the third.

The only Super Bowl I gave a ratsass about was in 1982. I worked line crew that weekend and made some very nice tips.
 
When was the last time the teams were as evenly matched in a Super Bowl? No points spread on the gambling line that I heard. And the drama of the last 10 mins? Could not have asked for a better football game.

Seriously, some of you kids need to understand the game better. This was a great football game.

I agree! Great football game. Also worth considering that more Money was probably gambled on this game than ever before. Sports gambling is in the many millions! In fact casinos seem to have have replaced manufacturing in the U.S. As big job suppliers! It's a race to the bottom for sure.
 
This was an inversion of the usual Super Bowl, where the game is boring but the commercials awesome. The game was awesome and most of the commercials sucked. Way too many public service announcements. The child death thing from Nationwide was sufficiently awful to make me thankful I cut them loose a few years back.

I just got through watching the commercials, and it looks to me like many companies have gone back to making them entertaining, which they definitely weren't last year. Not as good as 2013, but worth watching, on the whole. I agree that the child death one was creepy, but that was an outlier.
