Sumping the tanks the right way (satire)

It came from the ground, it's just going back home.
 
That'll put some lead in your pencil.
 
I actually did that after sumping a Mooney for sale!
The tanks were full of water,,, and so was the sample cup!!!
 
I flew @overdrive148 and @AggieMike88 to breakfast this morning. OD showed up first and while chatting w him, I took a swig from my fake sump cup. I think I surprised him. I kept telling myself "don't pour the water back into the tank"

He did it so perfectly and nonchalantly, that was the scary part.

I went from shock and "do I need to call 911" to "am I really going to fly with this maniac" to "holy crap that was perfect" in a matter of seconds. What a ride.

Even more surprising is that we didn't use the chute at all for either landing. Disappointed 3/10 would ride again. :cool:
 
Dang I've been teaching it all wrong all these years....to my former students, I'm so sorry. :(
 
I'm no dr but I have a van, I'm not sure that's how you put the tiger in your tank.

And it may burn when you pee

I had never tried drinking out of a sump cup before. There is a screen in there that distributes the contents unevenly

That's your new street name on the Kickapoo Reservation. Kinda like a thug, but in a white, middle aged airport bum kinda way. Very metaphoric I do say.

He also tried the prank on me, but I didn't fall for it for two reasons...

1. The liquid was too blue (think blue Gatorade vs. 100LL, and
2. It was Bryan pulling the prank.

The better prank woulda been not pulling one. That I never woulda seen coming.
 
I am SOOOO gonna do that to my next passenger....which should be really soon after June 1st. (lessons learned "first annual" thread)

be really careful not to get the cups confused. Drinking the wrong one or putting the wrong one back in the tank could ruin your whole doggone day.
 
6PC, I think this video finally explains how you have become who you are. :) You weren't like this prior to your first ever pre-flight fuel sump check, right?

They just said don't pour it on the ramp.
Then they said don't pour it back in the tanks.

Wait... Where are you supposed to pour it??
