PA28R-200 Arrow. MAP guage keeps getting stuck and we need some bright ideas to check. Currently it's sitting on the ramp showing 11.5 inhg, and removing lines, tapping on the guage etc did nothing. The line is clear of all debris, nothing in it at all, and never found anything in it either. No filters in this installation. Naturaly Asperated engine so there should never be any thing "blown" from the engine into the guage.

I'm at a loss as to why it keeps happening to new/repaired/overhauled guages.

i flew an arrow that did that too.. look at it in flight, and it's reading 0, on the ground, it ran up fine. Sometimes it would magically come back to life in flight.

Yeah, ours did the 0 thing too,

whiskey tango foxtrot are we in space suddenly how did we get 0!?

Sure would be nice to get more than 4 months (2 of them down for a gear up) out of a guage.

Yeah, i quit flying out of that place after we had a nav radio failure, AI failure, and the MAP failure all in 3 different planes in the span of a month or two. My wife said the facility is old and rundown looking, how good can their planes be. Damn wives and their common sense.

And this is what we try to avoid:rofl:

Turns out the fitting on the back binds the mechanism if installed to tightly.
