Steveo and Sean Tucker

Great video, so jealous. I need to go do an intro aerobatics ride one day.

Sean's still dancing after getting out of the plane! Such passion after all those years. Thanks!

Sean Tucker?!! Really? Steveo getting to be pretty "famous"! I like the young man. :)

Steveo is the best youtube aviator there is IMHO. I like Flightchops but have grown a little less interested in those over time.

Every pilot should go get upside down in an airplane -- intentionally -- at least once, and preferably more often. Airplanes are 3-dimensional, all attitude machines, and we should be at least familiar with taking them there safely.

The best thing we ever did was take some aerobatics lessons in our RV-8. Once you've intentionally been upside down, you want to do it on every flight.

Yep. And honestly that's the main reason (not the only reason) why I'm not an airline pilot right now like most of my coworkers. You can go snitch to my wife, she already knows why I take the paycut. :D It's the kind of flying that drew me to become a pilot in the first place. I'm just having too much fun being a full-time tac-trainer instructor for a living, in spite of all the guano the bureaucrats and boot-licker careerists throw at me weekly to try discourage and derail my passion for flying.

Can't start a loop at 160 knots though.. my century fighter needs 450-500 of those LOL. Best I could do was 230 when I instructed in the Tex II.

I can relate to Mr. Tucker's enthusiasm, considering he's been doing it for a lot longer. That's the kind of life outlook I want to retain when I'm his age. I also like his setup. A cavernous Piper XC cruiser/aerobatic 2-plane combo would be the perfect retirement setup for me, if I could afford it. That's why RVs shine in the 2 seater segment. You can do XC with them and still go upside down with enough nose rate to do the upside down thing better than a flopping C-150. No Edge/Extra necessary to enjoy aerobatics.

Dammit @hindsight2020, come to the dark side and buy yourself an Extra. :) :)

Cool video! I may have the opportunity to fly with Sean Tucker this weekend while he's here for the air show.

I really like both Steveo and FlightChops. Steveo's somewhat poor radio habits (he gets "say again" fairly often after he mumbles an initial call trying to sound cool) irk me a little bit but that's a minor thing. Overall they're both fantastic at making videos. I've been enjoying watching FlightChops tail wheel training recently.

This is not only a great video, it's an aerobatics lesson! I have seen Sean Tucker in many settings, but didn't realize what a good teacher he is too. Steveo has some really nice videos in his growing collection. I just can't get enough of this stuff!!!

I really like Steveo's videos too. They are great to watch while I'm walking on the treadmill after supper. Really helps relieve the monotony. He flys to interesting places and does a very good job editing his videos.

Sean's a very high energy guy. Fun to be around but very focused when he's getting ready to fly. Until recently one of my best friends was his crew chief. I did a ride with him in the Extra. Hated it. Inverted Gs aren't my gig. Sean said I needed to do more of it so I'd get used to it. I'll pass. I have no desire to get used to it.

I was amazed Steveo seemed pretty much unfazed. That gyroscopic stuff was wild.

NICE VIDEO!

Never heard of Steveo (I'll have to check him out), but Sean, what an incredible pilot! I love watching him perform and have seen him at numerous airshows over the past two decades or so. In fact, prior to seeing him at the Lakehurst, NJ airshow back in the 90's, I had never seen an airplane fly backwards. He was explaining how all of his control inputs (stick & rudder) work in reverse for the brief moments of backwards flight. I thought that was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen and heard in aviation!

I didn't get to do any of that reverse stuff during my few aerobatic lessons in the Super Decathlon, but flying that plane and learning to land it well was some of the most fun I've ever had in the air!!!

Steveo1kinevo is his name on YouTube. He flies commercially for two companies, one is a charter service to the Bahamas, he flies a Caravan for them, and the other is a company plane for someone, that is a TBM 850. He's got a nice style, gets great shots, including drone footage and is fun to watch. He does about a video a week. I like him and the SV Delos, both on youtube.

Love this video...reminds me of my time in the Great Lakes!

I'd never heard of him either until recently on here. Still haven't checked him out. I have heard of Sean Tucker though and have seen him fly a few times. He's great. Can't imagine this steveo is better.

I think you maybe aren't understanding the love for Steveo. He's an everyday pilot that makes awesome YouTube vids. That YouTube popularity has opened up opportunities to do some cool stuff in aviation (ex: fly with Sean Tucker with GoPros everywhere).

Steveo is famous for straight and level with great editing. Flying Bahamas or the TBM 850 doesn't hurt his stock either.

Always love it when Steveo asks "so how's everyone doing today?" Then pauses a few seconds... "good good, glad to hear it". Classic.

By far the dumbest part of his videos. Too much "Blues Clues" for me.

I get a chuckle out of that too. The way my sarcastic mind works;
Steveo "so how's everyone doing today?"
Viewer "Well actually pretty crappy Steve"
Steveo "good good, glad to hear it"

Ditto to what everyone said,

I met both at SNF which they go every year. Both are good guys!!

I ran across Steveo several months ago and sat and watched most of his videos in one sitting. And I also like the 'How's everybody doing today?' schtick. He's really a good pilot. Watch his video doing recurrent in the sim with emergency situations. Nails it.

I moved back to Atlanta from Charlotte about 3 years ago. So it's ATL now.

Great video. Love Sean's charismatic and bright persona. Steve is like Iceman, flies cold with no mistakes... This was a clean break from his videos, he was smiling all the time.
