Steve Jobs gone West

God must have needed a better computer,
Prime example of all the money in the world won't keep your time from coming. Keep your ducks lined up you never know when.

That is sobering. A brilliant innovator has left the world after putting up a brave fight against pancreatic cancer. Rest in peace.

The come back of all time in the history of business.

It sucks he worked almost to the grave. And in a very stressful position too.

God speed.

As he wanted it:

(This is worth a view for, well, anyone. Pretty amazing to see him with the Reality Distortion Field turned off - Good stuff.)

RIP to a man who truly changed many facets of our worlds for the better. That YouTube video (his commencement address at Stanford) had a ton of good stuff, I highly recommend it!

Absolutely.

?Your time is limited, so don?t waste it living someone else?s life. Don?t be trapped by dogma ? which is living with the results of other people?s thinking. Don?t let the noise of other?s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.? -- Steve Jobs

Maybe that's what he needed to do.

How he did it I have no idea. Pancreatic is an ugly, painful way to go. (Mother-in-law had it.)

RIP.

My Dad died from Pancreatic Cancer. I'm amazed Steve lasted as long as he did. RIP.

I thought it interesting that the liver transplant only gave him two additional years.

It's a crapshoot sometimes. Not to mention, all the immunosuppression you are on also inhibits immune response that (sometimes) can slow or inhibit cancer...

No guarantees.

Maybe I misspoke. I find it interesting that he was willing to take the risk and also had the means to do so. The end result was only two more years.

Only Steve can tell us what those two more years meant to him, and whether he felt he spent them well. It's too late to ask.

Kinda in the same vein of, "If you only had two years to live, what would you do?" hypothetical questions.

Maybe we will find out. His bio is due to come out next month, and Steve was participating.
