A question on reporting:

To report previously unreported SSRI use/depression shall one make an appointment with a state licensed psychiatrist or psychologist? What sort of examinations shall the pilot request?

A psychologist suggested an MMPI, is he correct, or is this too much?

Thank you.

The answer to this depends entirely on the underlying diagnosis.

However, you are going to get amnesty if you report prior to Sept 30.
The list of tests- none are required, but the psych is mandated to get anything he feels necessary. I would also caution that he needs get anything that he feels excludes bipolar, which will never be issued in my lifetime.

There are several paragraphs taken near whole from our 2005 letter requesting this SI.

Thank you for the information, one last question:

When the physician writes the letter to the FAA describing the evaluation and tests, to whom shall the physician address the letter?

Thank you.
